Announcements

Next Thursday, August 29, our speaker will be Roger Ackley.  His marketing efforts resulted in steady growth for the Lake Minnetonka-Excelsior Rotary club.  Please come to hear his ideas.

Also, next week we'll be meeting at the Pavilion, weather permitting.  Take a look at the recently uploaded photos of the pavilion and get excited.

Mark your calendars for Monday, October 7, around 4:00 pm.  We'll be led by a team of professional Rotarians who have helped many clubs plan their strategies for growth and goals.  All members are encouraged to attend.

Visitors

Our newest exchange student, Lisa from Sweden, came to her first Orono Rotary meeting with Anna Meehan and Iris Erickson.  

Kathi Tunheim and her parents stopped by for breakfast.  Kathi's father served in the Air Force and wanted to listen to our speaker.

Speaker

Dick Steiner, retired Air Force pilot, brought maps and stories about his years of service in the Air Force.  From 1956 - 1966, Dick flew bombers.  He gave us a list of the 48 Air Force Bases utilized throughout the USA, Europe and Far East.  We will always be indebted to those like Dick who served our country and to our current member, Fred DuFault, who serves us now.
